WINDSOR — Megyn Ayotte scored a dozen points as the Colonels held off host Windsor, 53-42, on Tuesday night.

"What was most special to me is this was the second game in a row where all nine players scored. We are really growing into a team," said BUHS coach Paul Freed, whose team improved to 5-4 overall and qualified for the Division 1 playoffs.

Olivia Rockwood erupted for a game-high 26 points to pace the hosts, who rallied to within 44-42 with 1:30 remaining. Ayotte had the play of the day during a 9-0 run — making a basket, being fouled after the shot and then sinking two free throws.

Julie Hendricks, Rachael Rooney and Hailey Derosia all finished with nine points for the purple and white.

WESTMINSTER — Halle Dickerson and Abbe Cravinho scored 11 and 10 points respectively to help the Terriers top Green Mountain, 42-27.

"I thought our defense in the first quarter was the difference. Green Mountain matched us point for point for the last three quarters. It is going to be tough to face them a second time," said BF coach Todd Wells.

Michelle Marchica added eight points and seven rebounds for the 6-1 Terriers. Rachel Guerra (9 points) and Anne Lamsum (8) led the way for the Chieftains.

Leland & Gray Girls Basketball

TOWNSHEND — The Rebels fell to Springfield, 39-33.

Leland & Gray's Mariah Hazard did a little bit of everything. She wound up with 10 points, 12 boards, three assists and three steals.

Sierra Fillion and Maris Linder each scored five points for the Rebels. Skye Richardson and Arin Bates added four apiece.
