BRATTLEBORO — The Colonels are one of six undefeated varsity football teams in the state, joining the likes of Burr and Burton, Middlebury, Saint Johnsbury, Fairfax and Springfield.

Brattleboro will be trying to improve to 4-0 when hosting North Country (1-2) on Friday night at 7.

Any questions about the BUHS defense were answered in Week 3, when coach Chad Pacheco's gang shut out a Union-32 team that had scored 109 points in its first two games combined. A fourth-down tackle by Chris Frost, a Jem Cohen sack, and two fumble recoveries were the highlights.

The Bellows Falls defense was equally as good last week, picking off a couple of passes and blanking Fair Haven 26-0.

The Terriers (2-1) will now play at Lyndon (2-1) on Saturday at 1 p.m.

BF ball carriers Jed Lober and Jeb Monier are coming off of huge games. Lober ran for 175 yards and one score against the Slaters, while Monier contributed with 149 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.
