Senior Lunch

The community is invited to dinner at noon at the Townshend Church on Thursday, Sept. 21. Sponsored by Senior Solutions, the meal is prepared by Chef Stephanie of the Townshend Dam Diner. Suggested donation for people age 60 and up is $3.50; all others $4. Take-outs will be available.

Free blood pressure screening, provided by Vermont/New Hampshire Visiting Nurses and Hospice, will be offered, starting at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Bellows Falls

The "Bringing Hope Home Barbecue" will be held at Parks Place Community Center on 44 School St. on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 1 to 3 p.m. This family-friendly barbecue is a celebration of National Recovery Month and some very exciting news. Recovery Coaches from Turning Point of Springfield will now be available in Bellows Falls. The barbecue is potluck style and hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided. Please bring a dish to share. Come share your story, connect, and celebrate stories of recovery. This event is co-hosted by Turning Point Recovery Center of Springfield and Greater Falls Connections.

West Brattleboro

Community Outreach Meal: Free meal offered at West Brattleboro Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 24, noon to 1:45 p.m. Menu includes chicken parmesan, tossed salad, Italian bread, applesauce, dessert, and choice of beverage. All are welcome. The meal is free of charge.


Community lunch:
The next Putney Cares Community Lunch will be happening on Tuesday, Sept. 26, from noon to 1 p.m. at 4 Kimball Hill. The menu includes roast pork, roasted tofu, roasted carrots and potatoes, home made applesauce, chocolate cake, and tea and coffee. The suggested donation is $3.50. Call 802-387-5593 or email to reserve a seat no later than Monday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. Volunteers are also needed to help provide rides for those unable to drive themselves and with the clean up. This event is co-sponsored by Senior Solutions.
