Wednesday Lunch

Dummerston: Senior Solutions and Evening Star Grange will hold their 2nd Wednesday Lunch on Wednesday, beginning at noon, at the Grange Hall in Dummerston Center. Chefs Larry Lynch and Sallie May will present a meal of meatloaf, vegetarian option, mashed potato and gravy, cauliflower and broccoli au gratin, and beets with pineapple upside down cake for dessert. Books will be available from the Lydia Taft Pratt Library for patrons to borrow until the next meal. Takeouts are available by calling the Grange on Wednesday morning at 802-254-1138. Donations of $3 for those 60 and older and $4 for the younger folks are suggested.

Senior Dinner

Newfane: On Thursday at noon at the Newfane Congregational Church, there will be dinner for seniors in Newfane and surrounding communities. Please join us for: Antipasto, green salad, meatloaf, corn, scalloped potatoes, bread and cherry cake for dessert. This delicious meal is prepared by Winnie Dolan, hosted by Barbara Brooks, and served by hard working volunteers from the church and community. It is sponsored by Senior Solutions (Council on Aging, Inc.). The suggested donation for this meal is $3.50 for age 60 and over and $4 for under age 60. Community Church

Guilford: The Guilford Senior Lunch, sponsored by Senior Solutions, will take place at noon on Friday at the Guilford Community Church. The menu includes creamy ham noodle casserole, mixed vegetables and sweet potato bread, with cake for dessert. A suggested donation of $3.50 for seniors is asked. Books will be available on loan from the Guilford Free Library. Blood pressures will be taken courtesy of Guilford Cares. Senior Meal

Halifax: Friday at the Halifax Community hall, 20 Brook Road in West Halifax. Serving at noon. The menu includes fruit with cottage cheese, corn chowder, sandwiches (egg salad, ham, ham & cheese, and PB& J), Johnny cake, homemade Valentine cookies for dessert. All seniors are welcome. Senior Club

Chester: Join the Chester Senior Citizens Club for the group's monthly luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at the Chester Congregational Church on Main Street. The January meeting was cancelled due to weather so club members are planning again to share Christmas traditions and New Year resolutions. If you need a ride, just call Georgia at 802-875-6242.

Community Luncheon

West Brattleboro: The West Brattleboro Baptist Church, 979 Western Ave., will host a Community Luncheon from noon to 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24. The menu includes homemade beef stew and homemade biscuits, fruit, dessert, choice of beverage All are welcome and the luncheon is free to the public.

Ham & Bean Dinner

Hinsdale, N.H.: North Hinsdale Community Church, 105 Meetinghouse Road, will host a Ham & Bean dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 9. The price is $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 7-12. Roast Beef Supper

Bernardston, Mass.: The next United Church of Bernardston's Second Saturday Roast Beef Supper will be on Saturday, March 16, with seatings at 5 and 6:15 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. A roast beef meal, complete with freshly mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable and rolls, with fresh-baked pie for dessert, all for $10 per adult/$5 for children 12 and under. Take-out meals are available for $12. The church is located at 58 Church St. Call 413-648-9306 by Friday at noon for reservation of your preferred seating time, or to reserve take-out meals.
