Townshend: Everyone is invited to dinner at noon on Thursday at the Townshend Church. Sponsored by Senior Solutions, the festive ham dinner will be prepared by the Townshend Dam Diner's Chef Stephanie. Suggested donation is $3.50 for people age 60 and up; all others $4. Take-outs will be available. Free blood pressure screening will offered starting at 11:30 a.m., provided by Visiting Nurses/Hospice of VT/NH. All are welcome.
Guilford: Senior Solutions will sponsor a Senior Lunch at noon Friday at the Guilford Community Church. The menu includes goulash with meatballs, tossed salad and bread, with apple pie dump cake for dessert. A suggested donation of $3.50 for seniors is asked. Sugar on Snow
Guilford: The Guilford Volunteer Fire Department will host a Sugar on Snow Dinner on Saturday at 108 Guilford Center Road. Seatings are at 5 and 6:30 p.m. The cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and $2 for children ages 5 and under. For reservations, call 802-254-6841.
Putney: The next Putney Community Cares Community luncheon will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the Laura Heller Community Barn, 54 Kimball Hill.
West Brattleboro: The West Brattleboro Baptist Church, 979 Western Ave., will host a free community luncheon from noon to 1:45 p.m. Sunday, April 28. The menu includes hamburger stew or corn chowder, chicken salad or egg salad sandwich, chips, homemade cookies/ice cream, choice of beverage.
Hinsdale, N.H.: North Hinsdale Community Church, 105 Meetinghouse Road, will host a chicken parmesan dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4. West Halifax: Halifax Community Hall, 20 Brook Road in West Halifax, will host a community breakfast on Saturday, May 4 from 7 to 10 a.m. The menu will include pancakes, sausage , scramble eggs, Egg Benedict, hash brown casserole, fruit, juice and coffee. The cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The breakfast is a benefit for Halifax Community Hall.
