BRATTLEBORO — Keene State College freshman Hailey Derosia received the majority of the votes in Brattleboro Reformer Sports Editor Shane Covey's recent multiple choice Twitter poll, which asked "Who was the Brattleboro Area's top college athlete during this school year?"

The Brattleboro Union High School graduate scored 233 points, pulled down 127 rebounds, dished out 59 assists, and had 48 steals on the court for the KSC women's basketball team. She was named the Reformer's Female Athlete of the School Year as a senior at BUHS.

Abbe Cravinho, who placed second in the Twitter poll with 31.4 percent of the votes, contributed with seven goals and five assists in her first season with the Clark University field hockey team. She previously won four straight state championships with the Bellows Falls Stickers.

BUHS grad Tony Martinez earned the third most votes. The junior wide receiver had 46 catches for 683 yards and five scores for the Castleton University football team.

West Dummerston resident Cam Wright placed fourth in the poll. Playing for the Stonehill College men's ice hockey team, the senior forward erupted for 17 goals and 13 assists over the winter.

The current poll on the @ShaneCovey Twitter account asks which state champion do you consider to be the Team of the School Year, with the choices being the Brattleboro football team, Bellows Falls girls cross-country team, Twin Valley boys soccer team, and BUHS boys Nordic team.
