Derosia's delivering for Castleton lax team


BRATTLEBORO — Morgan Derosia already has 22 goals and 18 assists for the Castleton University women's lacrosse team this season.

The junior midfielder had her best game at UMass-Dartmouth on March 30, going off for six tallies and also setting up two in her team's 18-9 victory. She followed that up with four goals and two assists on April 3 against Colby-Sawyer.

The Brattleboro Union High School graduate also has 28 draw controls and 20 ground balls this spring.

Valentina MacEachern, who is another Vernon resident on the Castleton team, scored her lone goal this season during a 15-5 win over Maine-Farmington.

The 5-9 Spartans will play at Plattsburgh on Monday at 6 p.m., visit Rhode Island College on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., and then host Plymouth State on April 27 for Senior Day at 1 p.m.
