Dickerson voted Reformer Athlete of the Week

BRATTLEBORO — Bellows Falls Union High School varsity field hockey player Halle Dickerson received 150 votes to earn Brattleboro Reformer Athlete of the Week honors for Oct. 22-28.

The sophomore fullback made a couple of highlight clears, dribbling the ball out of danger each time, as the Terriers blanked Middlebury 6-0 in a Division 2 quarterfinal. She was part of a defense that didn't allow any goals in 180 minutes of playoff action as the BF stickers capped off a perfect 17-0 season.

Dickerson joins BF's Logan Cota, Abbe Cravinho and Sophia Hyslop; Brattleboro's Kharisma Boyd, Brenden Gilbeau and Tyler Millerick; and Hinsdale's Delaney Wilcox as fall 2017 winners. Her prize is two free games of bowling at Brattleboro Bowl, which has a total of 20 lanes and opens at 1 p.m. every day.

The nominees for the Oct. 29 to Nov. 4 Reformer Athlete of the Week are shown below. Readers are encouraged to vote by "liking" their choice on the www.facebook.com/ReformerSports page.
