Fenstermaker named Student of the Month at WRCC

BRATTLEBORO — Kaitlyn Fenstermaker has been selected as the Windham Regional Career Center Student of the Month for September.

Kaitlyn was chosen by her Technical English teacher James Dennewitz. Students are chosen by their teacher at WRCC based on character and employable skills within their Career Center programs. According to Dennewitz, "Kaitlyn shows an abundance of enthusiasm, arrives to class on time, and exhibits exceptional leadership skills. Kaitlyn shows crucial critical thinking skills that are much needed for navigating a successful post-secondary educational experience.

Kaitlyn is also enrolled in the Windham Regional Career Center's Filmmaking program. She enjoys this type of learning environment, stating that "the skills learned are applicable to her future goals." Kaitlyn also noted that it's a joy to attend the Filmmaking program because all of her peers are motivated to learn. Fenstermaker is passionate about her interest in the film industry and plans on attending Ithaca College to major in Advanced Film. Kaitlyn's hobbies include honing her photography skills at Insight Photography in Brattleboro.

Kaitlyn is a Brattleboro Union High School student enrolled in the Performing Arts Academy since her sophomore year of high school. Kaitlyn will be furthering her career pathway next semester by taking BUHS Television Production class. She hopes that this experience will enhance her skills as she looks toward her future endeavors as a documentary filmmaker.
