WESTMINSTER — Harrison Gleim won the Meister Award for racking up the most points while leading the Bellows Falls Middle School track team to a bronze in the Connecticut Valley League meet.

"That 200 was one of the best races I've ever been witness to as a coach. Everything he did in that race was perfect. Absolutely perfect. That's how you want it," said BFMS coach Joshua Ferenc.

Gleim prevailed in the 100 (12.16), 200 (25.11), and triple jump (33-11), and took fourth in the 400 (59.17) while facing athletes from 28 other teams. His triple jump mark broke the school record he had set last year.

The BFMS girls placed first overall.

WINDSOR — Seth Balch struck out a dozen batters, leading top-ranked Windsor to an 8-2 victory over No. 5 Leland & Gray in Tuesday's Division 3 semifinal baseball contest.

"I'm very proud of our season. I'm proud of my seniors, I'm proud of my team," said Rebels coach Marty Testo, whose ball club finished up with a 12-7 mark.

Kaie Quigley had a pair of hits for the Townshend team. Patrick McDonald tripled, Chris Bovat went 1-for-3, and Luc DuGrenier flew out to the warning track twice.
