HCRS hosts November art exhibit

BRATTLEBORO — Health Care and Rehabilitation Services, southeastern Vermont's community mental-health agency, is hosting a month-long art exhibition at The Robert H. Gibson River Garden. This event is being held in honor of the agency's 50th anniversary in order to honor half a century of creating meaning, inspiration, and empowerment in the community.

The art show encompasses a wide range of two-dimensional artwork. Photography, painting, drawing, mixed media, and print making are all well represented in this expansive show. Viewers have the opportunity to see the work of over 60 artists, professionally trained and outsider artists alike. The exhibition represents a wide range of life experiences which illustrates the diversity of the HCRS community.

The exhibition will be on display at the River Garden through Nov. 29. The River Garden is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. In addition, HCRS will be hosting a reception on Nov. 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the River Garden, 157 Main St. The community is invited to attend.

This art show was organized and displayed by volunteers who are committed to the mission and values which guide HCRS. Visit hcrs.org for more information.
