Hinsdale girls, Colebrook in rematch Friday

BRATTLEBORO — Angelina Nardolillo, who scored a dozen points in a semifinal as an eighth grader, is one of three returning starters for the Hinsdale varsity girls basketball team.

"Angelina was our leading rebounder and second-leading scorer last year," said Pacers coach Terry Bonnette.

The team's greatest obstacle is replacing Skyler LeClair, who started for the state champions as a freshman and reached the 1,000-point milestone before going on to play at Mount Ida College.

Maggie St. John will take over at the point, while Mariah Nichols, Monika Costello and Gabby LeClair are the team's three returning seniors.

"We want to be a running team that plays a fast-paced game on both ends of the floor. As always, we want to lead with our defense and create turnovers and fast break opportunities," Bonnette commented. "One of the keys to our success is going to be how well we rebound and limit our opponents' offensive opportunities."

The Pacers, who went 18-3 last season and fell to second-seeded Colebrook in the Final 4, will get a rematch with the Mohawks in Friday's season opener at 5 p.m.
