Hinsdale softball team wins thriller

HINSDALE, N.H. — The Hinsdale varsity softball team rallied for two runs in the eighth inning to stun Sunapee 11-10 in Wednesday's season opener.

With her team trailing by one run in the bottom of the eighth, Delaney Wilcox drew a walk and then scored on a Hannah Lynch triple to pull the Pacers even. Olivia Pangelinan later hit a long fly ball over the left fielder's head to bring in the game-winning run.

Angelina Nardolillo went the distance inside the circle for the hosts and also went 3-for-5 at the plate.

The 1-0 Pacers will play at Portsmouth Christian on Friday at 4 p.m.
