HINSDALE, N.H. — A 38-year-old Hinsdale woman was killed in an afternoon crash on Route 63 Sunday.

According to a news release from the Hinsdale Police Department, at just before 4 p.m., emergency personnel responded to Route 63 in the area of the Kilburn Pond Trailhead for a report of a head-on collision with serious injuries.

Jillian A. Harden was driving a 2007 Toyota Yaris and Jordan K. Knight, 24, of Keene, N.H., was driving a 2013 Mercedes C-Class when the two vehicles collided. The Hinsdale Fire Department extracted one of the victims from a vehicle and both Knight and Harden were transported by Rescue Inc. to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, where Harden was later pronounced dead.

The Chesterfield Police Department assisted.

No further details were released. The crash remains under investigation. At the time of the crash, roads around the region were slick due to a rain/sleet/snow mixture, though police did not indicate that road conditions caused the collision.
