Hinsdale's Wilcox wins Brattleboro Bowl prize

BRATTLEBORO — Hinsdale varsity girls soccer player Delaney Wilcox received 137 votes to earn Brattleboro Reformer Athlete of the Week honors for Sept. 17-23.

She scored twice for the Pacers during a 2-1 victory over Monadnock. Hannah Lynch set up the game-winner on a corner kick.

Wilcox joins Bellows Falls field hockey players Abbe Cravinho and Sophia Hyslop as 2017 fall winners. Her prize is two free passes to Brattleboro Bowl for some Cosmic Bowling, which takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings from 9-11.

Dylan Clark

The linebacker had a team-best six tackles and also had a sack as the Bellows Falls varsity football team trounced Otter Valley, 50-6, on Saturday at Hadley Field.

Logan Park

After setting up a goal on Thursday versus Springfield in Arlington, the Twin Valley soccer player was named the MVP of the John Werner Tournament. He helped the Wildcats win their fifth tourney title in a row.

Dani Marchica

The BF sticker exploded for eight goals during the week, including two against Rutland, three versus Fair Haven, and another hat trick in an 8-0 rout of MAU.

Brenden Gilbeau

The Brattleboro receiver caught a couple of touchdown passes during Friday's 56-33 loss to defending Division 1 state champion Hartford.

Arin Bates

During a 5-1 win over Stratton Mountain School, she went off for four goals and one assist. Bates was also nominated last week and finished second in the voting to Wilcox.
