Hit and run reported on Western Avenue

BRATTLEBORO — After a hit and run on Monday afternoon, police are looking for information.

The Brattleboro Police Department and EMS personnel responded to Western Avenue near Guilford Street for a report of a bicyclist struck by a motor vehicle at about 2:37 p.m. on Monday, according to a press release. It was reported that the vehicle had fled the scene.

Police said the victim, a 55-year-old male, had no recollection of what happened. He was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

"At this time, the vehicle that struck the bicyclist has not been located," police wrote in the press release Tuesday morning.
