Hyslop voted Reformer Athlete of the Week

BRATTLEBORO — Sophia Hyslop, who has helped the Bellows Falls varsity field hockey team win 28 consecutive games, was voted the Brattleboro Reformer Athlete of the Week for Sept. 10-16.

The junior tallied twice to help the Terriers to a 5-0 rout of MAU.

Hyslop's prize is two free passes to Brattleboro Bowl for some Cosmic Bowling, which takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings from 9-11.

Megyn Ayotte

The keeper for the Brattleboro Union High School varsity girls soccer team made four saves to earn a shutout during a 6-0 decision over Springfield on Homecoming Weekend.

Colin McHale

The freshman had a hat trick and also dished out two assists to lead the Twin Valley varsity boys soccer team to a 9-0 rout of Fair Haven. The Wildcats improved to 4-0 with the victory.

Delaney Bullock

The Putney resident was the top local finisher at the Manchester Invitational on Saturday, placing third overall in a time of 19:49.

Arin Bates

She went off for four goals as the Leland & Gray varsity girls soccer team trounced Bellows Falls, 8-1. Bates also scored on a penalty kick when the Rebels defeated Twin Valley, 4-1.

Delaney Wilcox

She scored twice for the Hinsdale varsity girls soccer team during a 2-1 victory over Monadnock on Saturday. Hannah Lynch set up the game-winner on a corner kick.
