Jazz and blues at historic hall

WILMINGTON — The Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley Jazz Concert Series continues its season on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 8 p.m. at the historic Memorial Hall, 14 West Main St.

Vocalist Robin Lloyd joins pianist Chris Bakriges, bassist Mark Dunlap, and drummer Billy Arnold in a program of jazz and blues. Loyd, a long-time Vermont resident and the daughter of actor Sam Lloyd [Emmy-award winning Christopher Lloyd is her uncle], attended Green Mountain Union High School, studied voice at Berklee College of Music and musical theater at Emerson College.

Admission is by free-will donation at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Pool Learning Center, which provides professional literacy instruction and support to students with learning differences, their families, and their educators.
