Juno Orchestra opens season with 'Family Connections'

BRATTLEBORO — Juno Orchestra, Vermont's newest professional chamber orchestra, in residence at the Brattleboro Music Center, presents "Family Connections," Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. at the BMC.

Cellist Jacob Charkey will be featured in the premiere of "J/J," by Brattleboro-based composer Stan Charkey, Jacob's father.

Also on the program: Sinfonia from Cantata 174 by J.S. Bach; Divertimento in F Major, K. 138 by W.A. Mozart; Serenade for Strings, Op. 2 by Edward Elgar; and Symphony No. 46 in B Major by Franz Joseph Haydn.
