Posted

BRATTLEBORO — Keene High School student Torin Kindopp won the Red Clover Rovers Retreat Trails 5k Fun Run on Saturday in a time of 22:08 and Lori Potter was the first female finisher, placing fourth overall in 28:06.

It was the third leg of the Retreat Trails Trilogy, which was created by Fred Ross III. The series also consisted of Green Street School's Tulip Trot on May 4 and the Firefighters for Fitness 5k Trail Run on Oct. 5.

Wyatt Chingery and Rachel Mangean were the Tulip Trot champs, while Josh Dillingham and Amy Calantropio were the division winners for the second jewel. Molly Storm and Lester Humphreys were the only two runners to participate in all three legs.

Among the raffle prize winners on Saturday were: Peter "Fish" Case getting a hair brush and light hold hair spray from Enright & Company, and Hank Lange winning a free day of swimming at the Colonial pool.

Diana Lange picked up pizza for all of the Retreat Trails 5k Fun Run finishers. Also helping out during the race were Donna Smyth, Lois Sparks, Kim Lier, Nancy Johnston, Carrie Bright Storm and Gary King.
