Letter: A good day to examine the evidence
Editor of the Reformer,
On the 18th anniversary of the horrific events on 9/11, determined groups of architects, engineers, lawyers, first responders, national security officials, airline pilots and scholars have been confronting the official conspiracy theory — Al Qaeda-linked terrorists carried out multiple plane hijackings in an unprecedented attack on American soil, resulting in the first recorded collapses of steel high-rise buildings.
Perhaps on this day members of our Brattleboro and neighboring communities might take a moment to honor the memory of those who lost their lives and their families, as well as the hundreds of first responders whose health has been severely compromised by working in the toxic environment of the World Trade Center site.
Perhaps you will go to ae911truth.org and watch the video of the collapse of WTC Building 7, review the survey confirming that most Americans who have seen that video doubt the official story, and learn that the fire commissioners representing New York City's Franklin Square and Munson Fire District have formally called for a new investigation based on the "overwhelming evidence ... demonstrates beyond any doubt that pre-planted explosives and/or incendiaries — not just airplanes and the ensuing fires — caused the destruction of the three World Trade Center buildings."
