Letter: Marie's meals will be missed

Editor of the Reformer,

Regarding the article "New chefs team up " in the Reformer June 8-9, I would like to celebrate Marie Willette's tenure as Senior Meals kitchen manager for the past 10 years, and thank her for her service.

As a regular diner at the Senior Meals program for the past five years, I and my dining companions have enjoyed the meals Marie prepared as well as the good fellowship at the table. During this time Marie often reminded me that her meals were prepared using nutritional and government guidelines for good health. The monthly menu always included 22 or 23 different meals, and often weekly salad bars.

While we diners will miss Marie's menu and cheerful presence at Senior Meals, we are enjoying the meals now prepared by Ray Bronson and Ryan Ahern. Marie had to leave her position due to health reasons; however, I understand she hopes to resume cooking in Brattleboro when she fully recovers.
