Letter: More police help needed

Editor of the Reformer:

I was writing a note on people receiving parking tickets at the high school Saturday, Feb. 10, at a youth boys basketball games, I don't have an issue with tickets being handed out for parking in a no parking zone, but what I don't understand is why they can't sit at the same spot and get the people that run the school bus red lights every day, same time, same place and nothing. We, the bus drivers, are loading handicapped children, some blind, some in wheelchairs, some hard of hearing, and we can't get plate numbers and watch our students getting on an off the bus at the same time; would be nice to see an officer in the area to lend a hand.

Brattleboro, Feb. 12
