Letter: Pick-up truck driver corrects statement

Editor of the Reformer,

I would like to correct a statement in the Thursday, November 29, 2018 Brattleboro Reformer concerning the article on the front page, "No injuries after telephone pole falls on school bus." The statement (from a state trooper) reads, "When he took his eyes off the road and drifted into the snow." The State Trooper misunderstood my statement. I said, "The last thing I remember is seeing the antique sign."

We are thankful none of the children on the school bus were injured and grateful for the help of Deidra Beattie and the strong young man who helped us up the bank.
