Letter: Reaction to climate protest was disappointing, disrespectful

Editor of the Reformer,

I was infuriated by your article entitled "Climate change protesters interrupt Stroll parade." How exactly is it "disappointing" and "disrespectful" that children are fighting for their right to save our planet and everyone on it? I find it "disappointing" and "disrespectful" that so many people do not care about our planet and the future of our children and us. It was noted in the article that "young children" were on the sidewalk "waiting in the hot sun." Those protesters were fighting for those same children, so they do not have to spend the rest of their lives living with global warming. I somehow fail to understand how a "cow parade" is more important than the future of us, our planet and humanity.

Emma Paris,
