Letter: Sackler Family needs to take responsibility

Editor of the Reformer

I've read several letters in the Reformer asking that the Sackler family, new owners of Mount Snow, and owners of Purdue Pharma (producers of Oxycontin - we all know the story) take some responsibility for what they did by setting up a "recovery campus" on their property or elsewhere in this area.

So far, I've heard nothing else. No response from the Sacklers, and nothing from individuals or organizations in our area which should be concerned.

What's happening? Are we really going to allow these people (is there a big pharma equivalent of war criminal?) to just continue to profit-making business as usual, without holding them accountable?
