Letter: Slow down for God's creatures

Editor of the Reformer:

The large snapping turtle that lay crushed in the middle of Deer Park Road a few days ago was at least 70 years old, based on its shell size. On the same day I saw a mature painted turtle laying crushed in the middle of the same road. They were both probably crossing to find places to lay their eggs.

I wish people would show more respect for God's creatures and slow down on these back roads.
