Letter: Your Thanks: Climate Strike Rally
Editor of the Reformer,
THANK YOU for the incredible Brattleboro Climate Strike Rally on Sept. 20 and week of action following! Thank you if you came to any action during the strike week. Thank you if you played music or spoke, especially all of the phenomenal youth. Thank you if you made signs, banners, or art. Thank you if you took photos or videos. Thank you if you were involved in organizing an action or making an action happen. Thank you if you donated money, food, or other materials. Thank you if you talked with your family, friends, classmates, coworkers, neighbors, or other community members about the strikes. Thank you if this was the first time you were ever involved in a protest, rally, or strike. Thank you if you've been in the movement for years. Thank you if you were trying out something new. Thank you if you supported others' leadership and learning. Thank you to the hundreds of students and dozens of schools who participated. Thank you to the Town of Brattleboro for clear communication and support. It has taken many, MANY people to make the Global Climate Strike happen. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of it!!
