Libraries seek donations for book sales

PUTNEY — The Putney Public Library is seeking book donations to support its annual Book Sale, which will take place on Saturday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, May 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Books of all kinds are welcome, with the exception of encyclopedia sets, magazines, textbooks, Reader's Digest condensed books, and anything that is musty or moldy. DVDs and CD audiobooks are also welcome donations. Bring donations during library hours only: Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information visit the library at 55 Main St. or call 802-387-4407. DUMMERSTON — Dummerston's Lydia Taft Pratt Library is accepting donations of hardcover and paperback books, CDs, LPs, and DVDs, for the annual Geranium Festival & Book Sale on May 18. All donations should be in good, saleable condition. No textbooks. Bring all items to the library, 150 West St., during library hours: Tuesdays, 2:30 to 7 p.m.; Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to noon.
