Linder helps Devils to 7-5 mark
BRATTLEBORO — Elkanah Linder, of Townshend, racked up 17 victories during her junior season with the University of the Sciences (Philadelphia) women's tennis team.
The daughter of Moss and Elizabeth Linder teamed up with Danielle Paran for doubles wins over Gwynedd Mercy, Bentley, Holy Family, Concordia, Jefferson (twice), Wilmington, St. Thomas Aquinas, Chestnut Hill, Post, and Caldwell. She also prevailed in singles matches versus Caldwell, Chestnut Hill, St. Thomas Aquinas, Molloy, Wilmington, and Gwynedd Mercy.
The Devils finished up with a 7-5 record, including a 5-3 decision over Jefferson in the conference tournament.
Linder is just the third player in program history to win 30 singles matches. She is second in career doubles victories at USciences with 31.
The Pharmacy major has earned Dean's List Honors four times in college, along with making her conference's All-Academic Team twice.
Linder was named tennis MVP for all four years at Vermont Academy. She also played soccer and basketball and ran cross country while at VA.
