Little, Eagles off to 18-1-3 start

BRATTLEBORO — Ryan Little, of Guilford, has scored three goals and dished out two assists during her junior season with the Boston College women's ice hockey team.

She lit the lamp against Maine, Providence and Harvard, and her dimes came against Maine and Merrimack.

The daughter of Gordon Little and Elizabeth McLarney got her start in the Brattleboro Hockey Association. She then played for four years at Shattuck-St. Mary's in Minnesota and was also a member of the Make-A-Wish Vermont all-star team in 2015.

Little registered three points (1 goal, 2 assists) for the Eagles as a freshman and increased her productivity to eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) in her sophomore season at Chestnut Hill.

She has helped BC to an 18-1-3 record, including a pair of victories over No. 4 Minnesota Duluth. The lone loss for the Eagles this season came against eighth-ranked Saint Lawrence on Nov. 10.

Little is the second area star to play a sport at Boston College in recent years. Corey Rusin, who led Wilmington High School to a Division 4 girls state basketball championship in 2008, pumped in a career-high 21 points in 2009 versus Maryland.
