BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro Union High School track and field athlete Maggie Lonardo has prevailed once again.

After finishing first in the 100, 200 and long jump events at the Connecticut Valley Conference Championship meet in Hanover, N.H., she earned 230 votes to win Brattleboro Reformer Athlete of the Week honors for May 5-11.

Lonardo, who received the Trackmeister Award for being the best athlete at that meet, joins Sammantha Pelton (Leland & Gray Unified basketball), Breanna Stockman (Bellows Falls track), Reno Tuttle (Bellows Falls track) and Kelsi Clement (Hinsdale softball) as spring winners. They have all earned a free night of cosmic bowling at Brattleboro Bowl.

Ariana Wunderle

The Bellows Falls tennis player teamed up with Anya Taylor for a victory versus Rutland. The freshman would win at No. 5 singles during a match against Woodstock later in the week.

Abby Lowe

On her birthday, the junior hurler threw a no-hit shutout as the Leland & Gray varsity softball team topped Arlington 14-0. She struck out 11 and walked two on the day.

Evan Koch

The Brattleboro Union High School student won four events during a meet on the Freeman track, taking the 800, 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, and the high jump.

Kristin Davis

She exploded for three hits as the Hinsdale varsity softball team outscored Hillsboro 17-6.
