Lozito, Cadets in GNAC Championship Saturday

BRATTLEBORO — The Norwich University men's soccer team, which is on a 14-game unbeaten streak, will play at top-seeded Saint Joseph's of Maine in Saturday's Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Senior captain Colin Lozito, who starred at Twin Valley from 2010-13, has three goals and five assists for the third-ranked Cadets this season. The son of Michael and Maryann Lozito is a corporal in the Norwich University Corps of Cadets and is majoring in Sports Medicine.

The talented midfielder from Wilmington has taken 41 shots, scored eight goals and also has 17 helpers during his college career.

Norwich zipped Emmanuel 2-0 in the Elite 8, behind a goal and an assist from Lozito, and then upset No. 2 Johnson & Wales 2-1 to reach the finals. The Cadets are 17-0-7 in their last 24 games against conference foes.

The winner of Saturday's contest will earn a berth into the NCAA Tournament, which will begin on Nov. 11.
