Main Street Arts
The artwork of Fiona Morehouse will be on display at Main Street Arts in a show entitled “Home At Heart."
Morehouse’s work can be found in private collections around the world. She has studied art in Italy, made art in India and taught art in New Zealand and Central America. She has permanent public art installations in Washington and West Virginia and has been the founder and director of community-based art studios in Maryland, Oregon and is founder, curator and director of Alchemy Arte gallery and performance space in Putney. She also facilitates Root to Rise yoga and art workshops and retreats and has been artist-in-residence at the Grammar School in Putney.
She earned a BFA in fine art and music from McDaniel College and also studied ceramic art at Hood College and painting at the Art Students League.
Morehouse has donated one of her works to benefit Main Street Arts. The 11” by 14” oil and wax on canvas painting will raffled off during the opening reception, Thursday, Apr. 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 each.
