Mentor a child
NEWFANE — 3 Generations Collaboration is recruiting mentors to be matched with young students in Newfane and Townshend. A mentor is matched with a student to meet once a week throughout the school year. Activities may include reading, drawing or painting together, help with homework, sharing hobbies or other activities, depending on the interests of the participants.
Mentoring gives kids a leg up, and helps build caring connections across the generations. Older adults and those with ties to the West River Valley are especially encouraged to apply. Mentor preparation and training happens in the summer, so contact 3GC soon for more information. 802-428-4333, firstname.lastname@example.org.
