Michaud, Olanyk win bass tourney

HINSDALE, N.H. — There were 26 bass anglers competing in Sportsmen Inc.'s annual Connecticut River Team Open Bass Tournament on Saturday.



At the 3 p.m. weigh-in at Norm's Marina, the winners were revealed. The first place team was Ron Michaud and Tom Olanyk with a total weight for five bass of 16.65 pounds. Second place went to Dave Apanell and Mike Wills with 15.76 pounds. Apanell also had the biggest bass of the day, which weighed 5.32 pounds. And third place finishers were Jim and James McNeil with a nice bag of Smallmouth bass weighing 15.58 pounds.



The money raised with this event goes to the club's Maisner Memorial Fund, which provides the money to send kids to assorted summer camps such as the Green Mountain Camp and Boy and Girl Scout Camps.
