Middle School Art Show at Rockingham Library

BELLOWS FALLS —-Bellows Falls Middle School has put up an art exhibit at Rockingham Free Public Library. Some outstanding pieces exhibit the hard work and dedication these students have put forth in their daily assignments. On display, you will see the whimsical 3D letters constructed out of cardboard boxes and papier mached in colorful tissue paper by eighth graders. Eighth graders also created Vermont landscapes in pen and ink showing their new drawing skills using two-point perspective. Decorative lines fill the landscape as students worked to create value in their landscape drawings. Seventh-grade students have color studies exhibited as paisley or circle paintings done in Prismacolor pencils. Floral paintings by the fifth graders are full of color and texture. Still life of pears and apples are also on display by sixth-grade students. Students were studying the painting style of the Post-Impressionist painters and have achieved wonderful effects with palette knives. Stop by the library for the Middle School Art Show.
