Ministry campus starting in Brattleboro

BRATTLEBORO — Whetstone AG Church at 28 Birge St. is starting up next month as an extended ministry campus of Faith Christian Church in Rockingham. Services start the first Saturday of May, beginning at 6 p.m., and will be led by the Revs. Matthew and Brenda Farkas.

Revs. Matthew and Brenda Farkas are credentialed: ordained and licensed ministers, bringing over 40 years of ministry experience to the table. They bring life experience as well, married 38 years, having raised four adult children and enjoying what will soon be five grandchildren. Family and faith are important to them. Matthew's academic achievements are Bachelor and Master of Ministry degrees as well as a Bachelor of Arts. Matthew has been pursuing master's level Greek studies and is a self published author.

Their ministry is from the heart (spirit) and represents a blend of style from his passions of writing and study with an extemporaneous expression that brings the principles of the Bible as the Word of God and Truth alive to give you a "takeaway" and answer some of your soul searching questions.

Teaching - encourages self awareness and greater consciousness of the real you (spirit) which is sometimes void of expression in today's human condition.

Meditation - embodies spiritual enlightenment and empowerment.

Worship - as an art form of spiritual expression.

Spiritual formation - spiritology studies for the independent thinkers.
