Monday forum to discuss racial disparities

BRATTLEBORO — The Vermont Attorney General and the Vermont Human Rights Commission will hold a public forum in Brattleboro Monday, from 5:30 7:30 p.m. at the Brooks Memorial Library.

The focus of the forum is to gain input on a report, to be prepared by Dec. 15, proposing strategies to address racial disparities within Vermont state systems of education, labor and employment, access to housing and healthcare and economic development.

At this meeting, participants will be asked to identify key indicators and performance measures that the state could track to provide accountability and progress towards the goal of eliminating and/or mitigating existing racial disparities across our state systems of education, healthcare, housing, labor and economic development.
