NewBrook Elementary shows appreciation to school board

Posted

NEWFANE — January was School Board Appreciation Month.

School board members came to NewBrook Elementary School on Jan. 29, when the students presented them with cards and sincere thanks for a job well done. Thanks was extended to Ken McFadden, Alicia O'Donnell (not present), Lindsey Bertram, Sara Webb, Luke Stafford and LeeAnn Jillson for all of their Thursday nights, for all of their student-centered follow through and for supporting the good work at NewBrook.

The Brookline/Newfane Joint Contract Board has shown their support for the students every chance they could, the school said in a statement.

They merged two schools (benefitting both towns), greened the campus, re-built the kitchen and bathrooms, payed for additional staff when necessary, and generally supported the students' academic, social and emotional success at every turn, according to NewBrook staff.
