Paving project starts Wednesday

BRATTLEBORO — Starting this Wednesday, Northeast Paving (a contractor of the town of Brattleboro) will be starting the annual capital paving project. Weather permitting, the following schedule is anticipated:

Wednesday: Cold planing on Fairview Street (51 Fairview St. to Maple Street), Estey Street (Birge Street to Pleasant Street).

Thursday: Cold planing on Green Street (Church Street to 164 Green St.), Oak Street (Chapin Street to High Street).

Friday: Paving from 98 to 320 Old Guilford Road.

Monday, Sept. 16, to Wednesday, Sept. 18: Paving on Fairview Street (51 Fairview St. to Maple Street), (Austine Drive to Winter Street), Estey Street (Birge Street to Pleasant Street), Green Street (Church Street to 164 Green St.), and Oak Street (Chapin Street to High Street).

Work is expected to happen between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. On-street parking will not be permitted during paving operations. No parking signs will be posted the afternoon prior to work on each street. Drivers should anticipate traffic disruptions during these operations.
