The Downtown Brattleboro Alliance, in conjunction with Experienced Goods Thrift Shop, Vermont Contemporary Photography, the Ask the River team of artists, town planner Sue Fillion and Brattleboro Area Prevention Coalition, held a pop-up event Friday to celebrate the newly transformed Alley Lane, next to the Brattleboro Transportation Center at 77 Flat St. Stephanie Bonin, executive director of the Alliance, said more than 300 people attended the event, which included art, activities, games, stories and ice cream floats. Bonin, pictured here setting up a photo board, said the pop-up, funded by AARP, aimed to enliven the connector space between Flat and Elliot Streets and celebrate the significance of the Connecticut River watershed to the community.
