BRATTLEBORO — Five event records were broken during the eighth annual Brattleboro Decathlon, which was won by David Pierce on Sunday at Brattleboro Union High School.

Defending champion and current BUHS track and field standout Evan Koch won all seven of the running and jumping events to help him secure the silver medal. Ryan Gilligan won the vortex football throw and frisbee field goal competition on his way to a bronze.
