PJ Parker in appearance to benefit Deerfield Valley Rotary Club


WILMINGTON >> PJ Parker to appear on Saturday, to benefit Deerfield Valley Rotary Club. The Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley Jazz Concert Series continues this weekend when vocalist PJ Parker presents a repertoire of songs ranging from the Great American Songbook to her own award-winning compositions. PJ has been the opening act for John Pizzarelli and Harry Connick, Jr., as well as a featured vocalist in Atlantic City's Trump Plaza band show, "Your Seaside Ballroom," also appearing in Philadelphia's Variety Club Telethon. Bassist Ron White, drummer Denny Ray Pelletier, and pianist Chris Bakriges will join Ms. Parker for this special event. The concert begins at 8 p.m. and is held in Historic Memorial Hall, 14 West Main St. in Wilmington.

Admission is by tax-deductible donation at the door. Food, non-alcohol beverages, beer and wine are available for sale. Saturday's program will benefit the Deerfield Rotary Club. The Rotary is a community organization which emphasizes service above self, supporting community events, scholarships, Food Pantry, Deerfield Valley Community Cares, and a host of events throughout the year. The Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley Jazz Concerts are sponsored by Twice Blessed, helping people and families get back on their feet.
