Police investigating shooting death in Dover


DOVER — The Vermont State Police is investigating a death at the Snow Creek Inn in Dover.

The Dover Police Department received a 911 call at 2:12 a.m. Friday from a male who reported that a woman, later identified as Tara

Oliveri, 43, of Dover, had been shot at the Snow Creek Inn on Vermont Route 100. Responding authorities located Oliveri deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

The body will be transported to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Burlington for an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death. This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public.

Dover police requested assistance from the Vermont State Police, which responded with the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Major Crime Unit and the Crime Scene Search Team.
