July 10

- At 4 p.m., officers with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street for the report of a theft. Following an investigation, Quadir Murray, 38, of Brattleboro, was cited with disorderly conduct, unlawful trespass, and retail theft.

July 19

- At 6 p.m., officers with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a local business for a trespassing complaint. As a result, Ronald Leclair, 64, of Brattleboro, was cited with unlawful trespass.

July 20

- At 3 p.m., officers with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Elliot Street for the report of an altercation. As a result, James Douglas, 29, of Brattleboro, was cited with disorderly conduct.

July 21

- Officers with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Elliot Street for the report of a theft. Following an investigation, James Douglas, 29, of Brattleboro, was cited with retail theft.

July 24

- At 7:30 p.m., officers with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the area of Whetstone Brook in downtown after receiving a report of a man acting in a sexually inappropriate manner. Officers learned that John Oja, 46, of Brattleboro, was nude and engaging in sexually inappropriate acts directed at a group of juveniles swimming in the brook. Oja was arrested and cited with lewd and lascivious behavior.

July 30

- At 10:20 p.m., officers with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Elliot Street for the report of an intoxicated driver. As a result, Nicholas Stone, 46, of Brattleboro, was arrested and cited with driving under the influence and gross negligent operation of a vehicle.

Aug. 1

- Officers with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the area of High Street for a report that two men were rummaging through vehicles. Following an investigation, Cyr Solari, 18, of Guilford, and Taylor Bell, 18, of Brattleboro, were cited with petit larceny and possession of stolen property.

Aug. 11

- An officer with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a motel on Canal Street for a report of a man who was smashing windows out of the motel.

As a result, Marcus M. Brandy, 30, from North Carolina, was arrested and cited with unlawful mischief.

Aug. 8

- A Vermont registered Ford Fiesta was stopped by Dover Police on Route 100 in Dover on July 18. The registered owner was known to be under suspension. Nicole Bartholomew, 35, of West Dover, was cited to appear in court on the charge of DLS.

Bartholomew failed to appear and was arrested on a warrant on Aug. 8. She was released on bail and cited to appear in court on the original charge.

Aug. 12

- Officers with the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of two people having sex on the porch of a building on Canal Street. As a result, Samantha Scott, 26, and James Owens, 32, both of Brattleboro, were cited with lewd and lascivious conduct.

Aug. 18

- Officers from the Bellows Falls Police Department responded to a report of a man refusing to leave a residence on Church Place and who had urinated on the victim's porch.

Upon arrival, officers learned that Mark Bresland, 54, of Bellows Falls, was the suspect. As a result, Bresland was cited with unlawful trespass.

Aug. 20

- At 7:37 p.m., the Vermont State Police received a 911 hang-up from a residence on Island Road in Townshend. Troopers from the State Police barracks in Westminster responded to the scene and learned the following: Evan Willey, 23 of Townshend, had been involved in a domestic dispute with a roommate and subsequently left the area on foot. Willey was found to have an active arrest warrant issued out of the Vermont Superior Court, Chittenden Criminal Division for simple assault, disorderly conduct, criminal threatening, and disturbing the peace by phone. Willey was subsequently located when he returned home.

He was arrested on the outstanding warrant and transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield and ordered to report to the Vermont Superior Court, Chittenden Criminal Division at a later date for arraignment.

Aug. 22

- At 6:12 p.m., troopers with the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Oak Street in Brattleboro. During the course of the stop, it was determined the operator and passenger both had extraditable warrants from Florida for drug charges. Demian N. Wood, 36, of Venice, Fla., and Melissa S. Cutchins, 32, of Sarasota, Fla., were both arrested for being fugitives from justice. They were processed for the offense and ordered to be held on $25,000 bail each. Cutchins and Wood were lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of bail.
