Aug. 11

- At approximately 9 p.m., Brattleboro Police dispatch received multiple calls regarding the sound of explosions in the street. Some of these reports were in a residential area in West Brattleboro and others were in the area of Elliot and Williams Streets. As of this release there have been no reports of injury or property damage. If anyone is aware of damage caused by these incidents they are asked to contact the police department to report it. The Brattleboro Fire Department responded to several of these reports and investigated to ensure there was no immediate threat to property. The Brattleboro police department is currently investigating these incidents. Anyone who may have information related to any of these incidents is asked to call the Brattleboro Police at 802-257-7950.

Aug. 13

- The Brattleboro Police Department provided an update for the suspicious death investigation from July 31. The Department's Criminal Investigation Division has been in regular communication with the Windham County State's Attorney's Office in regards to this investigation. We are currently awaiting the final autopsy report and toxicology screen from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Investigation to this point shows that there is no reason to believe the general public is in any danger. As this is an ongoing, active investigation, no further information will be released at this time. Anyone with information related to this incident or who had recent contact with Mr. Davis is encouraged to contact the Brattleboro police.

- At 9:29 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to a report of vehicles that were broken into on the night of Wednesday, Aug. 12, in the area of Hemlock Hill Drive and Upper Dummerston Road, in Dummerston. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the case officer, Trooper Eric Acevedo, at the Westminster Barracks at 802-722-4600 or via email eric.acevedo@vermont.gov.
