Post 5 shuts out Bellows Falls

BRATTLEBORO — On Tuesday night at Tenney Field, the Brattleboro American Legion baseball team zipped Bellows Falls 10-0 in five innings.

Jeremy Rounds threw a two-hit shutout and improved to 4-1 on the season. He struck out three and walked three.

Tyler Millerick went 3 for 3 to lead Post 5's attack. Adam Newton (2 RBI), Dan Petrie (2 RBI), Chris Frost, Joe Rafus and Evan Finnell contributed with one hit each.

Brattleboro, which improved to 11-4 in league play and 16-6 overall, will play at Bennington tonight at 5:30 and then play at Bellows Falls on Thursday at 7 p.m.
