Potter is voted athlete of the week
BRATTLEBORO — This season's 13th and final Brattleboro Reformer Athlete of the Week winner just happens to wear the No. 13 jersey.
And this one was unanimous.
Molly Potter received 191 votes following her double-double (10 points, 13 rebounds) in the Bellows Falls varsity girls basketball team's playoff victory over Winooski. The senior forward also assisted on the basket that gave teammate Taylor Goodell 1,000 career points.
"I love watching Molly play. The girls is fierce!!" wrote Kathleen Goodell on her online ballot.
Potter is now in the running for The Marina's second $25 gift certificate. The first of those went to Bellows Falls field hockey goalie Jaia Caron.

The senior guard sank two clutch free throws with 0.1 seconds left to complete Brattleboro's comeback victory over Burr and Burton. She was later named Tip Off Tournament MVP after scoring 26 points, pulling down eight rebounds and adding nine steals in her first two games of the season combined.
When the Bellows Falls varsity boys basketball team came back from a 17-point deficit to beat Woodstock, he exploded for 20 points and 15 rebounds.
He paced the Hinsdale varsity boys basketball team with 21 points during a 67-34 rout of Wilton in the Keene Holiday Tournament.
The senior captain for the Bellows Falls varsity boys basketball team finished with nine points, two rebounds and three assists during a 50-45 win over Arlington. He also guarded the Eagles' best player and wound up with four steals.
She poured in 20 points to propel the Bellows Falls varsity girls basketball team to an easy 74-19 win over Twin Valley.
The Bellows Falls senior recorded a double-double (14 points, 13 rebounds) when the Terriers outscored Hartford 47-42.
During a comeback victory over Windsor, the Bellows Falls guard went off for 17 points.
The ultimate team player scored 18 points for the Lady Pacers during a 42-37 loss to Newmarket.
The sophomore guard scored in double figures in victories over Rivendell (12 points) and Brattleboro (10 points) as the Bellows Falls varsity girls basketball team increased its winning streak to nine straight.
The sophomore forward finished with two goals and four assists to propel the Brattleboro varsity boys ice hockey team to an 8-0 decision over Northfield.
The freshman scored 16 points to lead the Leland & Gray varsity girls basketball team to a 50-32 victory over Green Mountain in the seventh annual Hoops for Hope event.
The senior racked up a team-best 16 points to power the Bellows Falls boys basketball team to a 57-45 playoff win over Oxbow.
