NORTHFIELD — The No. 3 Bellows Falls varsity football team earned a 26-14 victory over second-ranked Union-32 in a Division 2 semifinal on Friday night at Norwich University.

Griffin Waryas threw a pair of TD strikes and also scored on a one-yard keeper as the Terriers improved to 8-2. Jed Lober added an 11-yard run to paydirt.

Lober finished with 28 totes for 128 yards. Waryas completed seven of his 11 passes for 122 yards, including two scoring strikes to Dylan Clark.

Bellows Falls will now face top-seeded and undefeated Brattleboro in the state championship game in Rutland on Saturday at 11 a.m. When these teams met in the season opener, the Colonels fell behind 19-0 in Westminster before rallying for a 49-26 victory.

The Purple Gang is a perfect 5-0 on the road this season.
